Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C 923 Bourbon 750ml

Straight from the barrel to your glass — Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C 923 is an uncut, unfiltered Kentucky Straight Bourbon bottled at a commanding 133 proof (66.5% ABV) after 13 years and 7 months of aging. The "C 923" designation identifies this as the third batch released in September 2023, part of Heaven Hill's acclaimed three-times-a-year Barrel Proof series. No water added, no chill filtration — every ounce of rich, natural flavor preserved exactly as it emerged from the barrel.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does "C 923" mean?

The batch code breaks down as: C = third batch of the year, 9 = September, 23 = 2023. Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is released three times annually (January, May, and September), with each batch having its own unique character based on the barrels selected.

Why is barrel proof bourbon special?

Barrel proof means the bourbon is bottled at the exact proof it comes out of the barrel — no water is added to reduce the ABV. This preserves the full intensity, complexity, and character of the spirit.

How should I serve it?

Best enjoyed neat with a few drops of water to tame the 133 proof and reveal additional layers of caramel and oak. A true sipping bourbon — take your time with it.
