What is the dual barrel process?

After aging in fire-charred new American white oak barrels (standard bourbon), the whiskey is transferred to a custom second barrel made from 18-month air-dried wood — toasted but not charred. The toasting (vs. charring) extracts different wood compounds, delivering the signature campfire, pecan, and baked fruit character.

Are there any additives?

None — the extraordinary flavor comes purely from the second toasted barrel. Nothing added, nothing done except the barrel finish.
